As you know from reading this blog, my family goes to Disney World and Universal Orlando a lot. But that doesn’t mean that we don’t have vacation dreams of other destinations! In fact we have a list of vacations that we’d like to go on in the next ten years and I’m sharing them with you! Check out the TOP 5 vacations for families that I want to go on before my son grows up!
We have been to Disney A LOT and we LOVE Disney character meals! We don’t really like to wait in line to meet characters, so being able to see them while we eat is a great option for us! The interaction during the sit down meals is great and much more relaxed than waiting in a line to take a quick picture! Check out what our top 5 favorite Disney character meals are (plus an honorable mention)!
Port Orleans Riverside is a moderate resort at Walt Disney World. We stayed there for a few nights back in March of 2017. Coronado Springs has always been our favorite moderate resort, but we figured since we tried out Port Orleans French Quarter and had stayed at Coronado a few times we should try out another moderate resort to give good feedback to those who were contemplating staying at Disney. It wasn’t our favorite moderate, but check out why I think it’s still a great option for families!
Fantasmic at Disney’s Hollywood Studios is our FAVORITE night-time show at Disney World! Fantasmic is SO much more than just a regular fireworks show. It is full of pyrotechnics, laser lights, fireworks, music, water works, videos, AND of course characters! Seeing Fantasmic is one of our most fond memories. Even though to get a good seat you need to wait a LONG time, it’s WORTH THE WAIT!
In October 2013 we went on our second trip to Walt Disney World. We decided that even though we LOVED Coronado Springs that we would stay at the Port Orleans French Quarter Resort. This Disney resort is connected to Port Orleans Riverside so you are able to share amenities with both resorts which is a great perk!
Who isn’t on a budget these days? And if you don’t have a budget you should create one (but that’s another post for another day). Seriously though, when people think of Disney World they think of a TON of money and although it is a more “expensive” vacation, it is what you make it. There are a LOT of ways to save money at Disney.
We went to Disney World for the first time in May 2012 and I instantly fell in love. Everything about Disney was SO magical and I compared EVERY OTHER theme park to it. I didn’t WANT to ever go to Universal. There’s no way it could compare to my love for Disney. I was wrong. This post is about how I cheated on Disney with Universal… Disney VS Universal!
During our first family trip to Disney World in 2012 we stayed at Coronado Springs Resort. Since that trip we also tried out Port Orleans French Quarter (it’s our second favorite) and Port Orleans Riverside… but Coronado has a special place in our hearts (we’ve stayed there three times)! Read this blog to find out why WE think Coronado is simply the best!
This past October we made a split decision to go on our first Disney Dream Cruise to the Bahamas! We booked the 4-night Bahamian cruise on the Disney Dream on a whim and then rushed to get everything in order before we left. There were a lot of scares with hurricane warnings and a forecast full of rain, but it was too late… we had no choice but to take the risk and make the most of it!
