Top 5 Magic Kingdom Attractions

Magic Kingdom is the park that most people think of when they hear DISNEY WORLD!  I love Magic Kingdom because this park makes me feel like a little kid again.  The magic is really full force in this park (hence, the name, the Magic Kingdom).  Find out what our top 5 Magic Kingdom attractions are in this post!

The Magic Kingdom has a LOT of awesome attractions fit for kids (and the kids at heart).  There are a couple more thrilling attractions here, but most are fairly mild which is why I really love this park.  My husband and son think this park is “too girly”, but luckily they love me enough to enjoy it anyway!  Keep reading to find out what our top 5 Magic Kingdom attractions are!  You may be surprised (these are in no particular order)!

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover

The Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover (AKA PeopleMover, AKA TTA) is my favorite ride in all of Disney World.  Sort of.  This is probably the most mild ride in all of Disney, but it has some of the best views!  The PeopleMover is a 10 minute tram ride through Tomorrowland with behind the scenes looks at the attractions and shops inside Tomorrowland.  Ride this one at night during the Magic Kingdom fireworks for an extra treat!

Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain is an iconic log flume ride centered around the Disney film Song of the South.  Brier Rabbit is getting into a lot of trouble during this attraction and the songs and sights will put a smile on your face!  I can’t help but sing along during this attraction.  Watch out for the big drop at the end!  You probably are going to get a little wet!

Space Mountain

Let me first state that Space Mountain is probably the most intense attraction at Magic Kingdom.  It’s an indoor roller coaster that is in the DARK.  You literally can’t see anything except for lights zooming past you.  This makes it a little intense for some people (and kiddos).  However, my eyes are usually closed on roller coasters anyway so the dark doesn’t effect me!  My husband and son INSISTED that this attraction be on our top 5 list (no matter what I think).

Mickey’s PhilharMagic Concert

For this attraction you are seated in an air conditioned Opera style concert hall to enjoy a 12-minute 3D movie full of classic Disney songs!  Sometimes that is all the explanation you need!  However, this attraction is SUPER cute (and a great place to rest).  My husband really enjoys this one because Donald is the star of the show (spoiler alert).  Another great thing about this attraction is that there is rarely a wait (just waiting for the next show)!

Big Thunder Mountain Railroad OR Seven Dwarfs Mine Train

Honestly, I feel like these two are one in the same (even though they are completely different).  They are both train themed coasters.  Big Thunder Mountain is definitely a little more crazy than Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, but the feel is the same to me.  They are great coasters and if you like one you’ll probably like the other.  Am I completely wrong on this?  Either way, my husband and son said that if it’s a coaster it HAS to be on the list.  So I cheated.  They are both technically on the list!

  1. My top 5 are: Splash Mountain, Big Thunder, Pirates, Haunted Mansion and it’s a small world. Most of these are so classic! We did Splash Mountain 4 times on our last trip, it’s SO fun!

  2. I’m shocked the Haunted Mansion isn’t on this list. In my biased opinion, it’s the only Disney World version of a ride that’s better than its Disneyland counterpart!
