I know what you’re thinking. You are thinking that going on a Disney World vacation in itself is a splurge. And most of the times you are right. Usually when MY family goes to Disney we try to go as cheap as possible (yes, it’s possible). However, the last two times we went we decided to splurge on a Disney Deluxe Resort. They were short stays (which is what made it possible), but I think totally worth it! Keep reading to think why I think YOU should splurge on a Disney Deluxe Resort at least once!
Typically when we go to Disney I’m trying to do it as “cheap” as possible. We even bring some food with us to cut down on costs, water, etc. We also don’t typically do a super long stay either. We always drive which saves us money (although we really hate the drive)! And we rarely ever buy souvenirs. However, the last two times we went to Disney World we decided to splurge on staying at a Deluxe Resort. It spoiled me! But, I also think it was completely worth it!

Our Stay at Disney’s Beach Club was a DREAM!
The first time we stayed at a Disney Deluxe Resort it was at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. This has always been one of my favorite Disney Resorts to resort hop to! The weather wasn’t ideal when we went (it was freezing), but it didn’t matter because the resort itself was just so beautiful. We went during the holiday season so the lobby was decked out with the gingerbread carousel as well! That trip turned out to be one of my favorites. We were SO close to EPCOT that it was a 5 minute walk there from our room. And taking the boat to Hollywood Studios was convenient as well! I feel like that resort was worth EVERY penny! Can we afford to stay there every time? No! But I would do it again in a heart beat if it meant I had to sacrifice on other things!
Splurging on a Monorail Resort…
The last time we went to Disney we were only going for a couple days so we decided to splurge on a monorail resort. We decided on the Bay Lake Tower room at Disney’s Contemporary Resort because it was the cheapest option on the monorail. It ended up being the perfect splurge for our trip because we were able to watch the fireworks from Magic Kingdom on our first night there from the observation deck at Bay Lake Tower! We only went to Magic Kingdom & Animal Kingdom during that trip, but taking the monorail to MK was such fun! It wasn’t even a necessity since you can WALK to Magic Kingdom from the Contemporary, but riding the monorail is so much better.
My Top 5 Reasons on Why You Should Splurge on a Disney Deluxe Resort
1. Location, location, location
Staying at a Disney Deluxe Resort is so much more convenient! You are way closer to all of the magic and you can get to the parks faster! This saves you time!
2. They are AMAZINGLY decorated and themed
Okay, so all of the Disney resorts are elaborately themed and decorated… but the Disney Deluxe Resorts take it to a whole new level. They are breathtaking when you walk into them.
3. Lots of food options
When we go on vacation we are ALL about the food. We always resort hopped to the Disney Deluxe Resorts to eat at their dining locations, but staying there made it even better!
4. Shopping, shopping, and more shopping
When we splurge on a Disney Deluxe Resort we don’t have any money left for shopping, but I really enjoy WINDOW shopping at the Deluxe Resorts! They have unique merchandise that you can’t find in the parks!
5. Making memories
You know by now that this is my biggest reason why we travel together so much. We will forever remember the time we stayed at Disney’s Beach Club or on the monorail!
