Toothsome Chocolate Emporium Review at Universal CityWalk

You can’t miss it.  As you walk into Universal CityWalk, there it is in all it’s glory!  The Toothsome Chocolate Emporium & Savory Feast Kitchen is a unique building sitting in between Universal’s Island of Adventure & Universal Studios.  You may think that it’s only a sweet shop, but you would be very wrong!  Check out what we thought of this noteworthy restaurant at Universal CityWalk.

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium is so much more than sweet shop!

The first time we walked through Universal CityWalk we wanted to eat at Toothsome Chocolate Emporium, but we just didn’t have enough time to fit it in with everything else we wanted to do.  So, when we went back my son said that it was a MUST do.  I had to agree.  We had heard the milkshakes were to DIE for…  but we never even got to the milkshakes.  There’s always next time!

Brunch, Lunch, or Dinner?

The restaurant opens at 10:30AM, but it serves brunch items through closing!  If you are hungry for crepes, Quiche, waffles, or french toast while you are at Universal then you will want to come eat here.

They also have a wide selection of appetizers on their menu.  Honestly, next time we go back we’ll probably just get appetizers and milkshakes!  There are so many to choose from and I wanted to try more.  We got the Philly Cheesesteak Rolls and quite enjoyed them!

Limited Children’s Menu

The children’s menu wasn’t anything special.  Because of the playful theme I thought that the children’s menu would be a little more expansive, but they were great about switching things out for us.  My son wanted Alfredo sauce on his pasta instead of marinara and they were happy to bring him what he wanted!  And he was very happy with it too!

Okay, so the restaurant is not only a sweet shop…  but there are A LOT of sweets!  Like I said before, I’ve heard the milkshakes are OUTSTANDING and there are a lot to choose from.  We got the Brookies, Cookies & Cream Sundae to share and we couldn’t finish it between the three of us!  It was huge.  And VERY delicious!

They also have a sweet shop located inside the restaurant.  You do NOT need to eat here in order to order sweets from the shop.  They have chocolates, caramels, lollipops, and much much more!

Toothsome Chocolate Emporium was a unique experience for sure.

The atmosphere is very lively and fun.  The music put me in a good mood and the staff was very friendly (perhaps a little slow at times, but it’s Universal).  We even got a surprise visit from Doctor Professor Penelope and her robot assistant Jaques.  She told us all about her new idea to make a french fry milkshake!

I go to Florida every year for HHN but had to skip last year because we greeted a little boy into our family! So I have yet to be able to try this place but I’m SOOO excited to this year!!

So we’ve been there for brunch and dinner. I will say that brunch was my favorite. The service when it’s not super busy of course is slightly better though both times we had decent service. Though the options for dinner were larger, the execution was better for brunch. The milkshakes were great!! The interaction with the “characters “ were fun and it fulfilled the theme of the restaurant. Overall definitely a fun place to visit! I also love the chocolate and macaroon shop in the lobby, as chocolate is one of my loves!
